Getting started
Collections Plus saves web pages, images, notes and quotes into collections, like Microsoft Edge Collections did before Microsoft retired it. It's free, open source, and keeps your data on your own devices.
There are two parts, and you can use either or both.
The browser extension
The extension is where most people start. It opens as a side panel in Chrome or Microsoft Edge (other Chromium browsers may work too), and it's where you'll do most of your saving and organizing.
- Install it from the Chrome Web Store. Edge installs Chrome Web Store extensions too.
- Click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser's toolbar and pin Collections Plus, so its icon is always one click away.
- Click the icon to open the panel, then + New to create your first collection.
- Browse to any page and click + Add current page, or press Ctrl+Shift+S.
Coming from Edge Collections? The extension can bring your old collections back. See Coming from Edge Collections.
The mobile app
The mobile app puts your collections on your phone. It isn't in an app store: you install it straight from your phone's browser, and it updates itself.
- Open getcollectionsplus.com/app on your phone.
- Add it to your home screen, and it opens like any other app.
- On Android, it also appears in your Share menu, so you can save from any app.
Keeping them in sync
The extension and the app share one library through your own Dropbox. Edit on either one and the change shows up on the other. Edits from both sides are merged, so nothing gets overwritten.
There's no Collections Plus account, and your collections never pass through our servers: they go straight between your devices and your Dropbox.
Your data stays yours
- Your collections live in your browser, on each device you use.
- Sync is optional and goes through your own cloud storage.
- AI features are optional, use your own AI account, and are off until you turn them on.
- There's no tracking and no analytics.
